The Colebrook Critters reside in Colebrook, CT.
We are a family of humans, dogs, cats and a variety of birds and fish. Our
numbers vary from time to time.
Colebrook Critters was originally created in Yahoo Groups as a friendly spot for
pet lovers/owners to share experiences, post pet adoptions or sales and pet
supply offers, wants and needs without intimidation or fees.
We have expanded to this web site because we recently lost our precious Lilly
and believe that she was lured from our property and stolen. During our search
for places to post her missing, we found numerous rescue groups nationwide
where missing pets can be posted, but very few that cater to solely the CT area.
The few that we did find are not heavily trafficked, or haven’t been utilized for 3-
7 years. It is our hope to offer to the public a functional site to post lost and
found pets along with a database of shelters, rescues, veterinarians and other
missing pet posting sites. The web site and Yahoo Group will be run in
conjunction with each other.
